The Lost fuel report helps you identify potential fuel theft or unauthorised fuel card use. It flags transactions where the fuel purchase details do not match the vehicle's actual location or its fuel tank capacity.
This report looks for two main issues to see if fuel is being wasted or stolen:
Wrong location: This happens when the fuel station's address does not match the vehicle's location during purchase. The system checks to see if the vehicle was close to the station within one hour of the fuel being bought.
Too much fuel: This happens when the amount of fuel purchased is greater than the vehicle's maximum tank size.
Report options
Run the report and select from these options:
Select currency: Choose the currency used for fuel costs in the report.
Vehicle distance from fuel site allowed: Set the maximum distance a vehicle can be from the fuel station for a purchase to be considered valid.
Advanced options
Include page break between drivers: Select this to put each driver’s information on its own page. This makes the report easier to read and organise.
Time zone: Choose if you want the time to show based on where the User is, where the Vehicle is, or using UTC (world time).
Region: Pick your country. This makes sure details such as the date and distance are shown in the format of the selected country.
