Speed graph overview

Video recordings are uploaded to Reveal when the AI detects unsafe driving behavior.

The speed graph below a video shows how fast the driver was traveling before, during, and after the harsh driving event. This helps you to understand why the video recording was triggered.

Learn more about watching video recordings in Reveal.

Speed and time duration

  • The axis on the left-hand side of the graph shows the vehicle speed. This is in mph or km/h depending on your regional settings.
  • The axis along the bottom of the graph is the time duration of the video recording.
  • The dashed line follows the vehicle speed with key points you can hover over for more details. The red dashed line shows the road’s speed limit.

Speeding

Videos show the driver’s speed and the road's speed limit in the bottom left-hand corner. These change to red when the driver is traveling faster than the speed limit. Speeding does not impact how videos are classified.

The road speed limit is not available for videos that are requested from an SD card.

Analysis and classification

Recorded videos are analyzed and classified by our AI software. Green, yellow, orange, or red represent the driving event that led to the classification. You can use this to review the video footage more closely during the colored time duration.
