Create recurring appointments

In the Scheduler, you can create a series of recurring appointments for a job. The appointments can occur daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. This can be done under one Job ID, and over non-consecutive or consecutive days.

Creating an appointment

To create a job with recurring appointments, do the following:

  1. In Scheduler, choose CREATE JOB.
  2. In the New Job panel, enter the job details.
  3. Under Appointment, select how often you want the appointment to occur. You can choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Annually.

    The default option is Does not recur. When this option is selected, the job detail will apply to one appointment only.
  4. Choose the options for the recurrence pattern you want.

    For daily recurring appointments, under Every, enter how often you want the appointment to recur (for example, every 10 days). Then, choose a start and end date for the recurring appointments.
    For weekly recurring appointments, under Every, enter how often you want the appointment to recur (for example, every 6 weeks). Under Recur on, select the day or days of the week on which the appointments will take place. Then, choose a start and end date for the recurring appointments.
    For monthly recurring appointments, under Every, enter how often you want the appointment to recur (for example, every 6 months). Select This day of the week if you want the appointment to recur on a specific day (for example, every Monday), or choose This day of the month if you want the appointments to recur on a specific day each month (for example, day 5). Choose a start and end date for the recurring appointments.
    For annually recurring appointments, under Every, enter how often you want the appointments to recur (for example, every 2 years). Choose a start and end date for the recurring appointments.
  5. Add a start time, job duration, and assign one or more technicians.
  6. Click SAVE. The appointments will appear in the Scheduler.

Recurring appointments in the Scheduler will have the icon next to their title.

Editing recurring appointments in the Job panel

You can edit a series of recurring appointments, or a single recurring appointment in the Scheduler. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the appointment you want to edit. This opens the job panel.
  2. Edit the appointment details.
  3. Click SAVE.

You can also change the time and technician by dragging and dropping the job card within the Scheduler.

All changes will apply only to the single appointment you edited, and not to the full series.

Editing a series of appointments

You can edit a series of appointments. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click on one of the appointments of the series in the scheduler. This opens the job panel.
  2. Click on EDIT ALL in the banner below the header.
  3. Make your edits and click SAVE.

Changes will apply to all future appointments in the series.

Sending recurring appointments to technicians

Once recurring appointments are created, you need to send a job alert for these appointments to the technician/s mobile device.

To send a recurring appointment job alert to a technician, open each appointment individually, select the technician and select Send job to technicians.
When you click SAVE, a job alert is sent automatically to the technician’s mobile device.

Saving a recurring series to schedule later

Recurring appointments can be created and then scheduled at a later date. Until they are scheduled, they will sit in the pending panel.
Appointments go to the pending panel if there was no start time and/or technician assigned.

To schedule a recurring series of appointments from the pending list, follow these steps:

  1. Click on a recurring appointment in the pending panel. This opens the job panel.
  2. Add a start time and/or assign a technician.
  3. Click SAVE. The appointments will appear in the Scheduler.
