The dashboard provides an overview of fleet performance by comparing key dashboard metrics against company standards and industry peers. It allows you to monitor vehicles, drivers, or specific groups to ensure your fleet meets its operational goals. You can display the overall dashboard results for your entire fleet or an individual group.

Dashboard basics
To select a dashboard:

Go to Dashboard and select the dashboard drop-down menu.
- Choose a predefined dashboard or one you have saved.
- Choose whether you want to run the dashboard for your entire fleet or an individual group by clicking the arrow and selecting from the list. Your entire fleet is selected by default.
- You can edit
the dashboard, add a tile
, export it to Excel as a CSV file, or print.
Predefined dashboards
There are six predefined dashboards to help you understand how the system tracks data. You can edit any of these to better suit your needs or use them as a starting point for your own custom views.

Predefined dashboards include:
- Management Overview (default view)
- Safety
- Fuel
- Payroll
- Fleet Management
- Operations
Note
Verizon Connect will remember your last set of criteria. If you navigate to another section or even log out, the last dashboard you viewed will automatically appear when you revisit the page.
Customizing benchmarks
To set your own performance standards, select the My Benchmarks link at the top-right of the dashboard. On the My Benchmarks page, you can define parameters that match your company policies and business practices. Once saved, these benchmarks are reflected in each of the metric tiles on your dashboard.

Chart (tile) types
There are multiple chart types (or tile) views:
Ranking
Displays a leaderboard of your top or bottom performing drivers or vehicles. This helps you identify your best performers or those who may need additional coaching.
Trend
Shows how a specific metric changes over time. Use this to track progress toward goals and see if performance is improving or declining.
Gauge
Provides a look at your current performance against a specific benchmark. The colour-coded display shows at a glance whether you are meeting company standards.
Creating a dashboard
The ability to create dashboards is not available on all accounts, contact Customer Support or your Customer Success Manager to discuss your options. Once you have access, you can create a custom dashboard by following these steps:
To create a dashboard:
- Go to Dashboard and from the dashboard drop-down menu, select Create new dashboard.

Enter a unique name for your dashboard and click the SAVE button.
To share a dashboard:
- select the Share this dashboard checkbox. You can share the dashboard with individual users or groups by checking the boxes beside their name.

Click SAVE.
Customizing a dashboard
Once you save the dashboard, the page refreshes to show your new blank dashboard. You can then begin adding tiles to monitor the metrics you choose.
Adding dashboard tiles
Use different tile formats to visualise your data based on the goals of your dashboard. You can add a maximum of 12 tiles to the dashboard.

Click the Add Tile
icon. Once clicked, the tile will flip to show the criteria panel.
- From the Metric dropdown, choose which metric you want to display. Learn more about dashboard metrics.

From Chart type, select one of the three chart types, Ranking, Trend or Gauge.
Chart Type (Ranking only) - for all ranking tiles except Speeding, you can select which of the following you would like the results to display:
- Top 10 safest vehicles
- Top 50 safest vehicles
- Bottom 10 safest vehicles
- Bottom 50 safest vehicles
- Select Show to filter which results are shown (separate options are available for Speeding):
- Average per day
- Total per day
- Average per vehicle
- Total per vehicle
- Average per driver
- Total per driver
- Select a time frame from one of the Time options.
To only display results based on certain days, select HIDE DAYS. - Select Save to confirm your choices. The tile will flip back to show your active metric.
Editing tiles
To update a tile, select the Settings icon at the top-right of the tile. The tile will flip to show the criteria panel where you can make changes.
- To keep your changes, select Save.
- To return to the previous version, select Cancel.
The tile then flips back to display the updated metric.
Deleting tiles
Once you save a tile, a Delete button appears in its settings. If you delete a tile, it is permanently removed from your dashboard.
Deleting a dashboard
To remove an entire dashboard:
- Select the dashboard you want to remove from the drop-down menu.
- In the toolbar, select Edit.
- In the pop-up window, select the Delete Dashboard link.
- To confirm, select the link again.
