This article explains how to identify device errors for vehicle trackers, asset trackers and cameras directly from Live Map in Reveal.
Device errors are highlighted on Live Map for quick identification:
Vehicles and assets with active errors display this sub-icon on the map .
Clicking a vehicle with an error will open an information card displaying the issue.
Device errors include tracker issues like Non-reporting unit and False towing, as well as camera issues such as Unassigned cameras. If there is more than one device error, it’s displayed as Multiple tracker or camera errors.
Investigating device errors
Follow these steps to investigate device errors flagged on Live Map:
From Live Map, identify the error:
Scan the map for vehicles or assets displaying error indicators.
Check the Fleet status list panel for highlighted entries or error statuses.
Select the vehicle or asset icon on the map or from the Fleet status list. An information card will appear, indicating any errors with your vehicle.
Select Troubleshoot.
The link will take you to the corresponding device or camera details page, which includes steps to solve the error.
