Run a Technician status report

The Technician status reports report shows how much time a technician spent on a job compared to what was estimated.

In the report, jobs that were started late, finished late, or took longer than scheduled are shown in red.

This article describes the following:

To run a Technician status report, select Reports from the taskbar at the top of the page and click Technicians status.

A start time coloured in red means that the actual start time was later than the scheduled time.

Report contents

The report displays a complete history for your technicians, using information from Reveal Field. This includes:

  • Contact: Customer’s contact person name, and the name of the company

  • Job details: Job To Do and address of job

  • Scheduled start: Scheduled start time

  • Scheduled hours: How many hours job was scheduled to take

  • On My Way: The time that the technician set their status to "On My Way"

  • Travel: Travel time to the job

  • Started: Time that the job started

  • Actual hours: How many hours was actually spent at the job

  • Finished: The time that the job finished

Edit and run a technician status report

  1. In the upper part of the report, click EDIT REPORT.

  2. To include a technician in the report, select the name from the Technicians drop-down list.

  3. To choose a different time frame for the report, select an option from the Time frame drop-down list. Select Custom to enter a custom time frame of up to 90 days in length.

  4. To search for jobs by customer, add a customer name to the Contact field, or leave it blank to see all jobs for the chosen technician.

  5. Select the Hide technicians with no jobs check box to exclude technicians with no jobs in that time frame from the report.

  6. To generate the report, click RUN REPORT.

Export a report

At the top of the report click CSV to download the report as a spreadsheet in CSV format.

Import a CSV file with Excel

To ensure that all information displays correctly when importing a CSV file with Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Open the file with Excel and click the Data tab.

  2. In the Get & Transform Data group, click From Text/CSV.

  3. In File Explorer, double-click the CSV file that you want to import. An example of the spreadsheet is displayed in read-only view.

  4. Click Load to load the data into Excel.
