This article is for Reveal administrators.
You can create and edit drivers, and create drivers from existing users, from the Admin page in Reveal.
To avoid duplicate profiles, if a Reveal user is also going to be a driver, create the Reveal user first and then identify them as a driver.
To create a new driver profile:
-
Go to Account profile > Admin > Users and roles > Driver List and click CREATE A NEW DRIVER
-
On the Details tab, enter the driver’s First and Last Name.
-
If you want the driver to receive email notifications, enter their email address.
-
Optional fields are also available, such as the driver number, employee ID, phone number, and driver's license information. For a full breakdown of the details tab, read the help center article on how to Create drivers.
-
A phone number is required if you want the driver to receive text messages.
-
The driver's hourly rate is set to the amount noted in the account preference section of Reveal. To add a different amount, uncheck the box checked next to Use account preference and update the value.
-
To add a key fob ID, click Add under Key fob ID, enter the key fob ID and then click Done.
-
Click the Upload link on the left to add a profile picture.
-
To give a driver access to Reveal’s apps enter an email address, which will be used as the driver's username when they log in.
Under Mobile Access, check the Enable access checkbox and enter a password that's at least 8 characters long. If you don't enable mobile access, the driver will not be able to use any of the apps. For more information on mobile access, see Set up your drivers for ELD.
It's important to share the username and password with the driver.
-
To save your entries and complete creating the driver, click the Save button. Then, click Save again.
The newly-created driver profile will appear on the Driver list.
To create a driver from an existing user:
-
Click your user icon, and then select Admin > Users and Roles > User list.
-
Open the User profile and click the pencil icon next to the user you want to edit.
-
Select the Yes this user is a driver checkbox.
-
To apply the changes, click the Save dropdown menu > and select Save.
You cannot make an existing driver into a user. You must delete the driver and add them again as a user who is also a driver. The email address cannot be reused.
To edit and reuse an email address:
-
Edit the current email address by adding a number, a letter or a symbol to the address like this: johndoe1X!@example.com.
-
Save the account with this temporary email address.
-
Delete the driver.
-
Create a new driver with the original email address.
