Welcome to the first quarterly Reveal update of 2025. This quarter we talk about our Video enhancements, DVIR upgrades, an important update to our Logbook app, our vWork partnership, plus much, much more. Read on to learn more.
Our dashcams now detect animals
If a collision or near miss occurs and there is an animal associated with the event our AI cloud analyzes the footage and will label the incident as “Collision” or “Near Miss” and also tag it as “Animal” when reporting.
What else is new with the Video tab?
The Video overview tab will now be your default view when you click the Video tab. This view displays safety insights tailored to your fleet, including weekly video safety scores and driving behaviors, as well videos for review and drivers to coach for those with coaching permissions. Tool Tips, Behavior Links and Behavior Trends have also been added.
New & Improved: DVIR Upgrades for smarter, more reliable Inspections
No more pencil-whipping - Stronger compliance & accuracy.
We’ve upgraded the Reveal Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) solution to ensure higher-quality inspections and eliminate rushed, or incomplete reports.
What’s new?
- DVIR forms can now be designed so that every inspection item must be marked with a pass or fail.
- Reveal also reports the time taken to complete the DVIR to ensure a full inspection is carried out.
- Developers can use the new Fleet Inspections API to share inspection data automatically with third-party or in-house maintenance systems.
We’ve made an important update to the Logbook app
Verizon Connect has made some changes to the Reveal Logbook app.
Action required: Before May 1st, 2025 all drivers using the Logbook app must upgrade to:
- Version 5.5 or later on Apple iOS 16 or above
- Version 5.3 or later on Android 11 or above
If your drivers continue to use older versions of Logbook they may receive a violation during an inspection.

Call for help directly from the Driver Plus app
Reveal customers with the Roadside Assistance subscription can now call for help directly from the Driver Plus app.
As well as completing vehicle inspections, one tap within the mobile app provides access to services such as towing, winching, and fuel delivery to get back on the road as quickly as possible.
