Prepare your data before requesting an integration to ensure a seamless connection between Reveal and partner software.
Most integration failures happen because of missing or mismatched identifiers, such as vehicle numbers. Use this checklist to verify your account is ready before you submit a request.
Step 1: Verify your partner account
- Confirm your account with the partner (such as Fleetio, C.H. Robinson, or WEX) is active.
- Have your login credentials or API keys ready.
Step 2: Verify vehicle data
A missing Vehicle Number causes 90% of integration failures. Many partners cannot see your vehicles if this field is blank.
- Go to Admin > Vehicle List.
- Ensure every vehicle has a unique ID in the Vehicle Number field.
- Use the license plate or asset ID if you do not have a specific number. Do not leave this field empty.
Step 3: Check partner requirements
Different partners require different keys to link data. Check which category your partner falls into:
Logistics and tracking partners
- Common partners: 10-4 Systems, C.H. Robinson, Descartes MacroPoint, FourKites, Project44, Shipwell, and TruckerCloud.
- Requirement: Ensure the Vehicle Number in Reveal matches the ID used in the partner’s platform.
Fuel management partners
- Common partners: WEX, Fuelman, Comdata, Fleetcor, Allstar, and Keyfuels.
- Requirement: Go to Admin > Fuel Card Management and verify all cards have the correct card numbers.
Specialized integrations (such as XDS)
- Requirement: Every vehicle needs a Vehicle Number and every driver needs a Driver Number.
- Action: Go to Admin > Driver List and ensure every driver has a unique ID in the Driver Number field.
Step 4: Gather webhook details
If your partner uses a GPS webhook to pull data, they will provide specific technical details. You need these to complete the setup:
- Webhook endpoint URL
- Username
- Password
To submit partner provided GPS webhooks:
- Go to Reveal marketplace > API Integrations > MANAGE INTEGRATIONS.
- Alternatively, go to Admin > Integrations.
To submit endpoints for ALERT WEBHOOKS, gather the information above and contact support or submit a support request.
Step 5: Assign a data-authorized user
The person requesting the integration must have the authority to sign a data consent form. Ensure you have Admin or Marketplace permissions in Reveal to approve sharing fleet data with a third party.
Step 6: Review contract status
- No-charge integrations: These activate shortly after you receive a confirmation email with your credentials.
- Paid integrations: These require a DocuSign contract. The integration remains Pending until your company’s authorized signatory signs the contract.
