Industry
The Industry section addresses industry benchmarking. Select an industry and geographic area that resembles your company's service type. Verizon Connect uses this to show how your performance compares to the average company in your industry and location.
Select one from each of the following:
- Industry Type: Options include all industries, contractors, delivery, electricians, field service, for hire trucking, passenger transport, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning, or specialty transport.
- Geography: Options include all regions, specific US regions (such as Midwest or West), or specific states (such as California or Texas).
Note
The industry setting cannot be switched off.
Idling
Idling occurs when a vehicle engine is on, but the system detects limited or no movement. These settings appear in reports, the dashboard, and the Live Map.

- How much idling is too much for one stop? Set the limit for an individual idling instance. Any instance that reaches or exceeds this limit is flagged. The slider ranges from 0 minutes to 24 hours in 5-minute increments.
- How much idling is too much within a 24-hour period? Set the total acceptable idling duration for a 24-hour period. Any total that reaches or exceeds this limit is flagged. The slider ranges from 0 minutes to 24 hours in 5-minute increments.
Distance Travelled
Use this tab to define acceptable vehicle mileage standards.
