Live Map
You can customise the ECM data that displays on Reveal’s Live Map. Choose from Speed, Idle, Live Odometer, and more.
To customise Live Map balloons:

Go to Account Profile > Admin.

Click Manage Balloons.
If you don’t have access to Manage Balloons, contact Support.
Viewing your data
When Reveal Engine Connect is set up, your data will be captured and displayed in various sections of Reveal. Some of these sections are highlighted below.
Fuel Efficiency Report
Disclaimer: Fuel data may not be available based on the hardware that is installed in your vehicle.
Running the Fuel Efficiency Report will help you see how fuel efficient your vehicles are and how speeding, harsh driving and idling events impact fuel costs. It will also present a calculated Litres/100km figure, as well as an Estimated Loss.
You can adjust conversion value (MPG/Litres/km) based on your user preference regional selections in Reveal.
Before running the report
Before you run the Fuel Efficiency Report:

Go to Account Profile > MY ACCOUNT.

Click Cost Assumptions.
In Cost Assumptions, enter your average rates in the time range you are going to run your report.
When running the report, click the Report Options and then select the ECM (Engine Computer Module). Otherwise, you won’t see data based on ECM within your Fuel Efficiency Report.
The Fuel Efficiency Report looks like this:
ECM Fuel
ECM Fuel is also displayed as a dashboard metric for ECM fuel efficiency. View this in the Dashboard tab in Reveal.
ECM Odometer
ECM Odometer is collected with every plot and will display throughout Reveal when distance or speed is referenced.
To ensure the Current Odometer reflects a vehicle’s Reveal Dashboard reading, it is advised that users update the initial odometer upon installation of the Vehicle Tracking Unit (VTU).
The Vehicle Tracking Unit (VTU) is a GPS tracking unit installed within a vehicle. It leverages the Global Positioning System (GPS) to track vehicle movement and location information.
To enter this data:

Go to Account profile > Admin.

Click Vehicle List.

Click Edit.

Click Details.
Odometer data populates throughout the site anywhere odometer and distance are referenced. Here is an example of where it shows up.

To see this information:

Ignition and Idling
ECM Ignition determines ECM based idling.
Engine Idling refers to any means where idling is captured based on the vehicle’s engine being on with the vehicle not in motion.
View this information in the report section of Reveal.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
When there is a problem with the vehicle, the ECM stores a trouble code called a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). This code is usually diagnosed by a mechanic (with a scanner) and triggers the check engine light so the driver knows something is wrong. In short, the ECM performs a wide variety of functions necessary to the operation of a vehicle.
Set up a DTC alert
You can set up an alert to be notified when a vehicle produces a DTC. This will help you manage your vehicle's maintenance and stay ahead of issues.

To set up a DTC alert:

Go to Alerts.

Click Create an alert.
View active DTCs
To view active DTCs:

Go to Account profile > Admin.

Click Alerts.

Click Create a New Alert Policy.

Click Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
DTC Alert
When you have DTC Alerts set up, you will receive an email showing the following information when a DTC is triggered.
DTC History
To view the DTC history for your vehicles:

Go to Account profile > Admin.

Click Vehicle List.

Click Edit Vehicle.

Click DTC History.

ECM Speed
Speed is collected with every plot and will display throughout Reveal where speed is referenced.

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
VIN is transferred to Reveal from the ECM reading and automatically populated within the vehicle profile. The year, make, and model of the car need to be entered manually. Please note that not all year, make and models will capture the VIN.
To see the VIN:

Go to Account profile > Admin.

Click Vehicle List.

Click Edit Vehicle.

Click Vehicle Info.
Engine Hours
ECM Engine Hours will be shown within the vehicle profile and throughout Reveal where engine hours are referenced and calculated. The engine hours shown reflect the accumulated engine hours since the Vehicle Tracking Unit (VTU) was installed. If you want to enter the initial hours/vehicle’s total odometer reading, you can do this in the Edit Vehicle screen.
To enter initial engine hours:

Go to Account profile > Admin.

Click Vehicle List.

Click Edit Vehicle.
