This article is for Reveal administrators.
Administrators can edit, update, and organize vehicle details in Reveal to easily identify and track them on Live Map. They can also view a device’s current health status and access troubleshooting steps to help address any issues.
Adding vehicle details in Reveal
After your trackers have been shipped, their serial numbers will appear on the Vehicle List under Admin.
When a Verizon Connect technician installs a tracker, they change the serial number to the name of the vehicle the tracker is installed in. If your units are self-installed, you will need to update this information.
Editing vehicle details
To edit vehicle details:
Go to Account profile > Admin and select Vehicle list.

Click the pencil icon next to the vehicle you wish to edit. The Details tab allows you to edit vehicle details such as:
Vehicle name
Vehicle number
Vehicle registration number
Odometer reading
Total hours of engine use
Groups the vehicle is a member of
You might also see the following information depending on the features you have signed up for:
Electronic Serial Number (ESN): This is the unique identifier of the GPS tracking device installed in the vehicle.
Key Fob Alarm status: If you have the Driver ID feature, you will know if the alarm is sounding or not. You can also disable or enable the alarm here.
Devices
In Devices, the following device information displays:
Model
ESN: Electronic Serial Number
Status: See if devices are online or offline to know if they are connected with vehicles or not.
Errors: If there is an error with your device, an error notification displays with a troubleshooting link to help address the issue.
To learn more about a device’s status and last activity, select View details.
Driver Assignment tab
On the Driver Assignment tab, you can assign a driver to the vehicle, select the assignment period, and see the vehicle’s assignment history.
Group
On the Group tab, you can add and remove the vehicle to and from groups.
Vehicle Information
The information you enter here can increase the accuracy of reports. Use this tab to edit vehicle characteristics such as:
Vehicle size
Costs
VIN
Vehicle year, make, and model
Fuel efficiency information

DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) history
This tab is only visible to customers who have Engine Connect for Reveal. For more information on DTC, see Update vehicle and powered asset information.
View your vehicles on the Live Map
The vehicle details you’ve updated will now appear on the Live Map. To view your vehicles:
Click the Live Map tab.
Red, yellow, and green icons representing your vehicles will be displayed. Click Map Options > Icon Legend to learn more about what the colors and icons mean.
Vehicles and assets that are close to each other on the map can be grouped together under one icon
. A number on each cluster icon indicates how many vehicles and/or assets are contained in that cluster. Turn clustering on or off in Map Options.
Click the individual vehicle or asset icon to view the vehicle information and status.
