On the Places tab, you can view and edit places that you have previously created. You can also view suggested geofences and correct existing geofences.
The Places tab shows the following information:
-
Places: The number of places that you have created or categorized in your account.
Click VIEW to view the places in the list.
-
New Suggested Geofences: The number of locations that Reveal has identified as frequently visited by your vehicles, and could potentially be saved as a geofence. This number tells you how many locations have been identified since the previous Sunday, and is updated weekly. Suggested geofences appear as geofences (highlighted in red text) in Reports, Alert options, and on Live Map.
Click VIEW to accept or delete the suggested geofences. Once you accept, delete, edit, or save a suggested geofence, it is removed from the count of suggested geofences.
Note
If you accept a geofence in this way, it will keep the default name and stay in the "Uncategorized" category. To categorize the geofence and rename it, click the pencil icon
to open the Create geofence window. For more information on creating geofences, see Create a geofence.
-
Geofences to Correct: The number of geofences that have not captured any vehicle activity because vehicles are not entering the geofence.
Click VIEW to edit the geofence and improve reporting. On the map that opens, red dots show where vehicles have been traveling, idling, or stopping, so that you know how to adjust the geofence. You can change the shape and position of the geofence to include these areas and improve reporting. For information on how to do this, see Create a Place.
You can manage your places from the Places list.
The place with the most visits is at the top of the list. To change the display order of the places, click a column header. The list of places is then reordered in either ascending or descending order, alphabetically or numerically.
To refine the Places list you can Search for and filter places.
The columns in the Places list are as follows:
-
Visits: Displays the total number of visits to the place during the selected time frame.

-
Category: The category assigned to the place when it was created.
-
Address/City/State: The geographic address of the place.
To assign a place to a category, or assign a place to a group, or delete a place, select the check box beside the place in the Places list. You can select multiple check boxes at the same time. Selecting a check box activates the buttons displayed in the following screenshot:
