This article describes how to prepare your fuel purchases file to make it ready for import.
Your fuel purchase file must be in Excel or CSV format. Ensure that your file has:
-
Only the text and data that is required. The first row should either be the header row or the data of the first fuel transaction. In the following example, "Vehicle Report" and "Company No. 1234" should be removed.
-
No blank cells. You can manually add data where required. In the following example, location names should be added to the blank cells in the "Location" column.
-
One fuel transaction per row
-
A maximum of 1,000 rows
Before you import your file, ensure that it has at least the following column headings:
-
Location name
-
Street
-
Date
-
Time
-
Liters purchased; OR gallons purchased
-
Price per liter or price per gallon; OR total fuel cost
-
City and State/Region; OR Postcode
The following table provides more detail about the information your fuel purchase file should contain, and how the numerical data should be formatted. Note that not all columns are required.
