Get Directions

The Get Directions function allows you to select a vehicle location or a map location and get the best directions to or from that location. Powered by Google, the estimation takes into account a number of factors to give you the fastest route between two points.

There are three ways to access the Get Directions function from the Live Map:

Right-click on any location on the Live Map.
Right-click on the status icon of any vehicle (or driver or asset) on the Live Map.
Use the three-dot icon found beside each vehicle in the Vehicle Status list.

Get Directions to or from

You can choose Get directions to here or Get directions from here, from any of the three access methods above.

The Get Directions function opens another map in a separate window.

If you choose Get directions from here, whichever location you select will be the starting point. Type a search term in the empty field - either a driver, vehicle or address. You will be presented with any matches. Select one and press Enter on your keyboard, to register your choice. Then select GET DIRECTIONS to see the best route.

If you choose Get directions to here, whichever location you select will be the end point. Type a search term in the empty field - either a driver, vehicle or address. You will be presented with any matches. Select one and press Enter on your keyboard, to register your choice. Then select GET DIRECTIONS to see the best route.

Optimised Directions

You can add more destinations to the route using Add Destination.

If you enter stop locations along the route, select GET OPTIMISED DIRECTIONS to see a route with all stop locations arranged by the shortest distance between them.

Note: When you select a vehicle location, you are selecting the location of the vehicle at that time, not the actual vehicle. A vehicle can continue moving to another location.
