Ensure your speeding reports and alerts are accurate by updating posted speed limits for specific roads.
Reveal uses third-party providers to set posted speed limits, but these can become outdated due to new legislation or roadworks. By managing posted speeds, you help align Reveal with road conditions and local regulations.
Updates apply to your Reveal account only and take effect after you save them.
Note
Only admin users can make updates to posted speed limits.

Update posted speed
- Access the posted speed limit settings from the Live Map or Replay:
- From the Live Map, right-click the road segment you want to update.

From Replay, select a moving vehicle icon on the map.
- Click Manage posted speed (only appears in a Replay balloon for a speeding event).
- If required, select more of the road for the update.
- Click UPDATE POSTED SPEED.
- Enter the new posted speed limit in the Update posted speed limit panel.
- Choose the direction the edit applies to, and the start and end dates for the application of the new posted speed.
- Select SAVE.
Edit or delete posted speed updates
Edit or delete posted speed updates from the Live Map or Replay:
- From the Live Map, right-click the road segment you want to update.
From Replay, select a moving vehicle icon on the map. - Click Manage posted speed (only appears in a Replay balloon for a speeding event). If required, select more of the road for the update.
- Go to Edit or delete. From here you can edit or delete your posted speed updates.
- Select from Start date, End date and Status to filter the posted speed updates. Click APPLY.
- Select the pencil icon to edit updates and the trash can icon to delete them.
