When requesting roadside assistance, you must call the service provider and give them the last eight characters of the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle requiring assistance, and the vehicle’s location. You can find this information on Live Map.
To find the phone number, VIN, and vehicle location from Live Map:
-
Open Live Map and find the vehicle that needs assistance.
-
Right-click the vehicle and select Roadside Assistance from the menu. The Roadside Assistance dialog box opens, and displays the phone number to call, the vehicle's VIN, and the vehicle's location.
-
Call the phone number displayed to arrange assistance for the driver.
Drivers assigned to vehicles that are registered for Roadside Assistance can access the service from the Reveal Driver app.
In the app, drivers should do the following:
-
In the menu, under Roadside Assistance, tap CALL NOW to call the Roadside Assistance service provider.
-
Tell the service provider the last eight characters of the VIN.
-
Tell the service provider the vehicle’s location, including the nearest major street or crossroad, if known.
Note
Roadside Assistance is not available in all areas, such as restricted roadways and toll roads. If you require assistance in one of these areas, the Roadside Assistance service provider will help you.
