The "Get directions" function allows you to select a vehicle location or a map location and get the best directions to or from that location.
The directions you see are powered by Google Maps. Google uses various factors to show you the fastest routes between two points.

You can access the "Find Nearest" function from the Actions menu.
To open the Actions menu, do one of the following:

Click the three dots
beside a vehicle or powered asset (PA) on the Vehicle Status list.

Right-click the status icon of any vehicle, driver, or asset on Live Map.

Right-click anywhere on Live Map. The Actions menu that opens gives you fewer options than when you click a status icon on Live Map or the three dots
on the Vehicle Status list.

From the Actions menu, select Directions > Get directions to here.
The Get Directions dialog box opens.

On the dialog box, whichever location you selected on Live Map is the endpoint ("2" on the screenshot below). Type a driver's name, vehicle name, or address in the empty field ("1" on the screenshot below), and then select a matching item from the drop-down list.

Press Enter to register your selection, and then select GET DIRECTIONS to see the best route.

From the Actions menu, select Directions > Get directions to here.
The Get Directions dialog box opens.

On the dialog box, whichever location you selected on Live Map is the startpoint ("2" on the screenshot above). Type a driver's name, vehicle name, or address in the empty field ("1" on the screenshot above), and then select a matching item from the drop-down list.

Press Enter to register your selection, and then select GET DIRECTIONS to see the best route.
You can add extra stops to the route by clicking Add Destination.
If you enter stop locations along the route, select GET OPTIMISED DIRECTIONS to see a route with all stop locations arranged by the shortest distance between them.
Note
When you select a vehicle location, you are selecting the location of the vehicle at that time, not the actual vehicle. A vehicle can continue moving to another location after you have selected its location.
