If you are experiencing issues with the Logbook mobile app, ensure that you are not using an old, unsupported operating system on your mobile device. The supported versions for Android and iOS are specified in Logbook system requirements.
Using older, unsupported versions will result in poor app and security performance. It also means that you might no longer receive updates to the latest Logbook features and enhancements, or security updates for the mobile device.
To check your iOS version:
-
Go to Settings.
-
Tap General.
-
Tap About.
-
The current iOS version is listed under Version.
To check your Android version (This process might differ depending on the type of device you have):
-
Go to Settings.
-
Tap About phone. This might also be called About device, System, or similar.
-
Tap Software information and look for the Android version.
If you are experiencing issues with the Logbook mobile app, ensure that the app is up to date. Newer versions of the app correct many of the problems in older releases, which might include issues you are experiencing right now.
To check which version you are using:
-
In the navigation bar, in the lower part of the screen, tap More.
-
Tap About.
Go to the Google Play Store for Android devices, or the iOS App Store for Apple devices, to see if you need to update the app and to install the latest version.
If the version you are using is out of date, follow the instructions under Install the app to update to the latest version.
We recommend that you turn on automatic app updates on your mobile device so that you are always using the latest version of the app.
When your administrator updates settings in Reveal, such as enabling Yard Moves or Personal Use, these changes are periodically synchronized with the mobile app. To refresh the settings in your app immediately, follow these steps:
-
In the navigation bar, in the lower part of the screen, tap More.
-
(For Android) Beside Settings, tap REFRESH.
(For iOS) Beside Driver Information, tap REFRESH.
-
In the dialog box, tap YES.
-
Log out of the app and then log back in.
Sometimes a restart of your device can solve a problem that you are experiencing. These problems can include hardware or Bluetooth connectivity issues or the app not responding. To restart your mobile device, hold down the power button for a few seconds and follow the instructions to restart your device.
